1 Corinthians 10:31 (King James Version)
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
A. Whether we eat or drink or whatever we may do
"So then, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you may do,"
Colossians 3:17 (Amplified Bible)
And whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in [dependence upon] His Person, giving praise to God the Father through Him.
Colossians 3:23 (Amplified Bible)
Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men,
1 Corinthians 7:23 (Amplified Bible)
You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for by Christ]; then do not yield yourselves up to become [in your own estimation] slaves to men [but consider yourselves slaves to Christ].
1 Peter 4:11 (Amplified Bible)
Whoever speaks, [let him do it as one who utters] oracles of God; whoever renders service, [let him do it] as with the strength which God furnishes abundantly, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ (the Messiah). To Him be the glory and dominion forever and ever (through endless ages). Amen (so be it).
B. Do all things for the honor and glory of GOD
"do all for the honor and glory of God"
Zechariah 7:5-6 (Amplified Bible)
Speak to all the people of the land and to the priests, saying, When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months, even those seventy years you were in exile, was it for Me that you fasted, for Me?
And when you ate and when you drank, did you not eat for yourselves and drink for yourselves?
You may choose to eat and drink for yourself, will that benefit you? No benefit at all. But when you eat and drink in honor of the LORD JESUS, GOD will increase your satisfaction, godliness and contentment level.
1 Timothy 6:6 (Amplified Bible)
[And it is, indeed, a source of immense profit, for] godliness accompanied with contentment (that contentment which is a sense of inward sufficiency) is great and abundant gain.
See the people during Nehemiah's time, they ate and drank in honor of the LORD JESUS. We celebrate JESUS in our lives, whenever we celebrate holidays here in this world.
Nehemiah 8:16-18 (Amplified Bible)
So the people went out and brought them and made themselves booths, each on the roof of his house and in their courts and the courts of God’s house and in the squares of the Water Gate and the Gate of Ephraim.
All the assembly of returned exiles made booths and dwelt in them; for since the days of Jeshua (Joshua) son of Nun up to that day, the Israelites had not done so. And there was very great rejoicing.
Also day by day, from the first day to the last, Ezra read from the Book of the Law of God. They kept the feast for seven days; the eighth day was a [closing] solemn assembly, according to the ordinance.
IX. CONCLUSION:
Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS for whether we eat or drink, or whatever we do, we do all for the honor and glory of GOD in Your Name.
